A Clinical Study of L-Glutamate Dehydrogenase Activity on Several Liver and Biliary Diseases

Abstract
The author reached to the conclusion as follow in consideration and comparison with the n u`.ual concerened of transaminase activity after examined the object of the liver and biliary patient of several instances for the importance of diagnostic value of the L-glutamate d--hydrogen se in the hepatobiliary disease.
1. At the acute period of acute hepatitis, the GLDH activity showed normal or it ends to the slight elevation of about 2-4 times, but contrary of that GLDH transaminasP activity showed notable elevation. At the result of the ratio of GOT+GPT/GLDH and GPT/GLDH, we could find the notable high value.
2. At the recovery period of hepatits, the ratio of GLDH activity and GPT/GLDH are both found normal value.
3. At the two instances of chronic active hepatitis, changeable together with transaminase, and hardly to turn to the normal value, and could find GPT>GOT too.
The GLDH activity showed higher than that of normal but for it stay for 2-4 times of the nor mal, the GOT+GLDH, showed for 2-6 times of the normal.
4. At each instance of hepatoma and metastatic liver cancer, the GLDH showed only slight elevation, and due to the moderate elevation of transaminase activity, every quotient showed high value of the early stage of the disease. These ratio became as usual at a time by the anticancer therapy.
5. The transaminase activity and the normalization GLDH was comparatively rapid at the two instances of cholecystitis without jaundice. At a instance of gall stone shown jaundice, transaminase were elevated, but elevation rate of GLDH was high and ratio of each quotient showed normal value.
6. At the comparison with each GOT+GPT/GLDH and GPT/GLDH value concerning with each liver pathology, GOT+GPT/GLDH would remarkably showed the signs of transition of the disease process.
